Prayer begins in receiving our identity and moves to operating from that identity. Over this eight week series, we began with who God says we are, practiced listening and being still, then grew in receiving that identity... learning to use words to expose our longings before God.
So… we enter into conversation with God:
1. Remembering who God is / who we are. Romans 8
2. Remembering His love for us and those we’re praying for/with.
“… thank you that You love ___, that you care about ____…”
3. Remembering God already knows the situation.
“…Thank you that You know about ____, and it matters to You…”
4. Remember it’s God who heals (helps, encourages, etc.), not us.
“… Because you love ____, we ask You to heal/help encourage…”
“Father, thank you that You love _____, that you care about _____. Thank you that you know about _____, and it matters to You. Because you love _____, we ask You to heal/help/encourage.”
